Dear readers,
I look around the neighbouring countryside with the vines still slumbering - barely - and I cannot help but notice that spring is slower than usual to show her colours this year. Easter is early too. There is hope however. On opening the door into the garden there is movement everywhere of birds flying off. The place is full of excited blackbirds and thrushes. Last week I caught a glimpse of a blackbird's nest disclosing three soft blue eggs. Mademoiselle Easter honours these fragile beginnings. Pale pink and white blackthorn and cherry plum blossom with the beautiful greeny-blue of bird eggs concealed in many a hedge and tree.
Mademoiselle Easter - who is on her way to California - and I would like to send you all many Easter blessings. Even if spring is being a little shy and the sun is playing hide and seek there is so much love to give and receive. And chocolate too, naturally!
Next week I will be introducing you to a new creation inspired by my favourite city, Paris. Brace yourselves for she is neither hare nor rabbit! I have so much to share with you but I will tread quietly through the next few days. A lack of sunshine is playing with my energy levels; do you feel the same way too?
Happy Easter to you and your loved ones.
A très bientôt,
Stephanie
Mme Easter is the sweetest Easter bunny I saw lately!!! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, ma chère!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I will be putting comments back into my blog posts, starting Monday. I simply cannot blog without seeing my dear friends' faces!
WE TOO are starting to see and hear spring. Slowly, the snow has melted, and we even had a thunder/lightening storm last night!
OK, this little mademoiselle is going to my home state of California! May she have a lovely trip!
I cannot wait to see the REVEAL in a few days of a new Parisian-inspired creation! Your artistry is such sweet joy. Wishing you joyeuses Pâques!!!!
Je t'embrasse fort, Anita
Dearest Anita,
DeleteI cannot tell you how delighted I am to read that you will be putting the coments back on your wonderful blog! It just did not feel right although I completely respected your reasons for choosing to make this change. Three cheers for you!
Stephanie
Oh this is fun! YES! I AM BACK!
DeleteMademoiselle Easter is gorgeous, as all the rabbits have been. I can't wait to see what the new creation will be. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sharon
dearest Stephanie! Easter blessings to you also. That is a rather gorgeous homestead in your first picture, so beautiful. Your Easter bunny is lovely, especially her robin egg blue skirt and lace. You must have such fun coming up with their outfits, really, so much fun! I am intrigued to see more about your Paris-inspired creation. Well, I am full of cold, which is true to form for me, given that we have much to celebrate this weekend. I hope Spring comes in with a flourish soon to help lift your energy. It is, I think, the best time of the year. loves, C
ReplyDeleteDear Stepanie,
ReplyDeleteMademoiselle Easter is as enchanting as her sister mademoiselle Country Garden :-). I hope I will be taken her to the garden shortly! Looking forward to see your new creation. I haven't got the slightest idea what it will be, perhaps a chique French chicken :-)!
Wishing you and your family a lovely Easter!
Love,
Madelief x

Hello Stephanie
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your family.
It does indeed seem as if spring is finding it difficult to awake this year or that we are too eager for her to arrive. The last two days though, here in Alicante, it seems that she has slowly but finally stretched her arms, yawned and reluctantly awaken. We are enjoying beautiful sunny days and temperatures between 22 to 24º, although the blustery wind is a nuisance it does not deter the holiday makers from enjoying the beaches.
Mademoiselle Easter is of course lovely however I'm eager to see what you are going to surprise us with, something parisienne......I wonder!!!
keep well
Amanda :-)
Spring is late here too. It's been a very cold March and we are so ready for some warmth and sunshine. Mlle Easter is gorgeous. I like the cool pastel colours of her clothes - they are perfect for a cool Easter/late spring hare.
ReplyDeleteGillian x
Mademoiselle Easter is simply perfect. I too am longing for some warmth and sunshine. It is just too cold for the time of year. We will all be lacking in vital vitamins. Can't wait to see your new creation.
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful, a perfect name too. Happy Easter,
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith

I hope you have some sunshine to give you a wee energy boost soon. Our spring is very late too although we have had a fair bit of sun, just very cold temperatures. Juliex
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShe is the very personification (harification?) of tender Spring joy. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone in feeling a certain langour at this time of year ... each year we feel it too. The long months of cold and dark have taken their toll, and cloudy damp-grey days do not help.
Oh Stephanie, those lovely photos in your last post! Green grass and violets and DAFFODILS. I know there must be green grass in my future but I can't quite visualise it yet - thank you so much for sharing yours (and the chateau's). :)
She is beautiful Stephanie, so delicate and refined. I'm sure she will be adored when she reaches California. I hope you're enjoying a peaceful, happy Easter with your family and that Spring hurries to you like it has for us these last few days. Off went the heating and open are the windows. We went for a lovely walk today and even thought about putting the suncream on!

ReplyDeleteShe is divine! Look forward to what you share next.
ReplyDeleteYes, what a lazy spring. Around here flowers are only shyly showing a few petals. Only backthorn seem to brave the chilly wind. But Mademoiselle Easter warms my day. She's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward your surprise creation. Not a Mademoiselle ? (maybe a Mademoiselle from Paris ?)
Mademoiselle Easter is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVernal blessings!
Beautiful bunny, hope you had a happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteMademoiselle Easter is the lucky one who will be enjoying the enviable weather of sunny California (of which I am a native, by the way.)
ReplyDeleteI hope your Easter was wonderful.
